The thing is, we can usually deter, distract or deny thoughts and discussions of our own mortality.
Eerily fascinated or reluctantly entrained with passing bleeps about someone’s death and the following words to celebrate life, we look away into another yard to glimpse the awkward impending reality.
Not anymore. After social media has paradoxically, helped us isolate while keeping us together, we now have hourly reminders that the death of life as we knew it is/over.
Furthermore, our death or that of someone close to us is increasingly probable.
In this flickering light, it is duly noted that the greatest nation in the world has had its scientific leg pummeled by blowhards spewing alternative facts to a populace of frenzied dogs going belly up and peeing themselves at the glance and tone of a new master... who apparently rolled in the right pile of stuff.
Alas, this isn’t really new. There is nothing new about our arriving in this apparent predicament again. Oh, it’s definitely part of the Earth-Life design... like gravity.
We are in this situation, again, because majority has not LEARNED from a long telling HISTORY of trials and tribulations.
And if we did learn from the sacred historical accounts... enough of us did not bother to VOTE.
Now in our next presidential election we will have to choose between two mentally challenged individuals who would be retired, rightly so, from any reputable company.
Bernie Sanders, a man of integrity and complete sentences, SUSPENDED his campaign to lead us into a better managed reality.
I smiled at the words chosen:

PRESIDENTIAL
CAMPAIGN
Why?
So Biden can ‘disinfect’ his shady reputation (complements of Trump).
Oh...were it that simple.
Bernie is our only reasonable choice.
I know, I’ve thought it too... “Maybe Biden will pick a decent running mate, keep his hands to himself, win the Presidency, then die and we might have a chance.
Bad way to do business, wouldn’t you say?
Speaking of dying... All kinds of assistance going on out there helping everybody but the most vulnerable.
How about a program for assisted dying? I know ... I heard... hospitals get 39,000 dollars if they put a Covid19 patient on a ventilator.
Like operating a meat factory, be smart about efficiency and profit.
To their credit, some doctors support voluntary euthanasia because... they believe that they should RESPECT their patients' RIGHT to be treated as autonomous human beings.
I have heard, “Denial is not a river in Egypt.”
We are ALL going to die...someday.
Getting comfortable with that thought is not morbid... paradoxically, it helps us gain and appreciate the minutes of life we have in our hands...now.
